100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

Hi, try also to take some probiotics, but do not go with high dosages since it does not look like you need it. Some probiotics in the recommended dosage will even help you further in improving.

I figured this out because I tested a lot on myself until I found the cure from my IBS / SIBO.

A lot of Trial and error until I found it during my three years of suffering… J

You've given me hope again with this post. I feel as if I've tried it all and am now coming around to the realization that it probably isn't gonna take just a month or two to get over this, but that I might have to follow a strict regiment for longer, maybe years. So I'm taking probiotics, I'm taking L-glut, I'm meditating daily, trying to lower stress, eating the fodmap-diet as strictly as I can... If this doesn't help, I'm not sure what's gonna happen. I know I can't live another year like this. So, fingers crossed I guess.

Many people here are wondering about diet. From my 6 year experience with ibs stay as far away as possible from scd and paleo. The excessive amounts of fruits and honey these diets suggest you to eat will make you worse. Fodmap is the way to go. It won’t cure you, but you won’t suffer that bad. So far I’m almost 5 months in the treatment. For the last month I’ve been taking herbal supplements which I’m rotating every 3 days to avoid stomach upset. Pau D’Arco, wild oregano oil and wormwood. I also tried black walnut hulls, I took them 2 times a week apart between them and I don’t think I’ll take them again, after I took them both times my ears were ringing that has never happened to me before, not to mention the extreme and immediate stomach upset. So after 1 month of taking the herbal supplements I wanted to test myself with some fodmap. A couple of days ago I had some steamed veggies with chicken for dinner, only this time I added half from a medium sized avocado. I was waking up constantly during the night from stomach ache and when i finally got up in the morning to go to work it killed me. Imagine what would have happened if I had eaten some genuine junk food like a pizza or something. I’m still bad. When I started the treatment, the first month I was taking only probiotics and glutamine and I experienced a great improvement of about 70-80%. After the first month everything went south again. The third month I added zinc because people with ibs are deficient in this so I thought why not but I didn’t see any difference whatsoever. Generally, at the moment I feel a bit better, not even compared with how I was 5 months ago but I still can’t eat. There are many foods I can’t ever go near. Fruits are off limits. I really wanted to avoid rifaximin. From what I read the dosage is about 500 mg twice a day. If I take rifaximin and I develop D, do I continue with the antibiotic or do I stop? Some will say that if I continue taking probiotics then I won’t develop D but what if? Do I continue no matter what? Also, for better results, should I lower the rifaximin dosage from 1.000 a day to 800 or something like that and take the rifaximin with the herbal antimicrobials that I’m already taking for a more combined effect? I’m thinking 400 mg rifaximin with breakfast, 1 herbal supplement with lunch and another 400 mg with dinner. I’ll stop taking zinc because it interacts with antibiotics. I thought I could avoid rifaximin and solve the problem with herbal supplements but I don’t see that working. I’ll give it another month and if I don’t see good results then I’ll take rifaximin. Any opinions or suggestions?

Hi, that is strange to have great improvement on the first month and then get back to zero after. Sounds like the bad bacteria is winning the battle here. What probiotics and how much l glutamine do you take or did you take if you quited?

I never stopped taking glutamine or probiotics since i started the treatment 5 months ago. I was taking 1 cap vsl with 10 gr glut 40 min before breakfast and 10 gr glut 1 hr before dinner. The 3rd month i added zinc and for the last month i'm also taking herbal supplements. The exact same thing happened when I started the scd 4 years ago. In the begining it worked perfectly, i actually thought i was going to get cured, but after 2 1/2 months I began getting worse and as time went by, I was getting worse every week. You took rifaximin for 1 month. When you finished the 1 month treatment with rifaximin, how long did it take you to really feel confident with your intestinal health?

Same exact thing happened to me! I thought I was getting cured when I started L-glutamine + sachet of VSL3 and I am regressing since. Do you think we might have the bad bacteria adapting to this new environment?

      Hi msgregor,

With sibo some people it seems cannot do probiotics. Apparently what is needed is a prokinetic after the treatment and continued low carb diet.

That's most likely the case. Glutamine and probiotics are half the answer to the problem. The final piece of the puzzle are antibacterial substances in the form of herbal supplements or antibiotics or both.  I'm still experementing. Also, be very careful with vsl. The sachets contain maltose, a very bad offender. Take the caps instead.

Ok, then let’s try the following ( I have already told this to MsGregor by private message today), I believe that VSL#3 (which I never took) has extreme dosage of probiotics per capsule and my theory here is that it works ok in the beginning to overcome the bad bacteria but in the long run, you gut starts to get saturated from the daily extreme over dosage. Since I never took such high dosages and then reduced the dosage per capsule as I was getting better, that may be the reason here. I never took high dosages of probiotics for months, I ramped down the dosage of probiotics per capsule through the months as the improvements increased. So my advice is to continue with the L-Glutamine and reduce the dosage of probiotics per capsule between 2 to 10 billion per capsule daily now. You have already used the high dosages in the beginning and maybe it is time to reduce it, my theory here is like a cup of water that filled up and then spills out the water because it cannot take any more intake of water. So the same applies to the extreme dosage of daily probiotics, the bowels have just flooded with so much good bacteria and now it is flushing the excess daily intake and it comes out as IBS-D because your bowels are flushing them out in despair.  I remember during that my treatment, when I already had good improvements, I tried once to increase the recommended dosage that was one pill of probiotics a day to 2 a day and the my body felt like it went back to IBS-D because I had D again with cramps, then I started thinking what has changed and then I figured out that overdoing the dosage of probiotics was the issue and went back to the recommended dosage on the box. Then I went back to normal here. Your case and MsGregor reminds me this issue from before. So from what I can understand and think about here is that taking high dosages of probiotics has to be very well controlled and then decreased along your improvements until you reach an acceptable dosage for your body.

A gastroprokinetic agent, gastrokinetic, or prokinetic, is a type of drug which enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the frequency of contractions in the small intestine or making them stronger, but without disrupting their rhythm. They are used to relieve gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal discomfort, bloating, constipation, heart burn, nausea, and vomiting. They are used to treat a number of gastrointestinal disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome, gastritis, acid reflux disease, gastroparesis, and functional dyspepsia.

This sounds more like for IBS-C, it could be a problem for IBS-D ?

Hi Maurice. Just reading your advice and what is this drug name? I suffer from IBS C, have done for years, tried everything colonics, oregano oil, probiotics, low fibre, l glutamine to no effect. Looking into hypnotherapy. Fodmap is not good for IBS C. I take 10g of l glutamine a day.

Hi, please read through the posts that you will find the answers for your questions so that I am not always writting the same thing over and over again. Be cautions with your intake of L-Glutamine because you are IBS-C and L-Glutamine may or may not cause more Constipation due to it absorbing water in your bowels.
