100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!
Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!! Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.
Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.
Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.
Now for the Treatment that I used daily :
From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.
12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.
Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:
Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.
After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.
Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).
I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…
This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.
Good Luck to all and may god help you!

I've had a bit of a strange one... I worked out that quitting gluten, fizzy drinks tea and coffee improves my symptoms. I carried out strict diet for 6 weeks and saw big improvements.
Anyway randomly I had to take antibiotics for an unrelated infection. It was quite a high dose for 7 days. About a week later my ibs symptoms went away. Everything did. My poo burned a bit for a few days but after that I was completely normal. This lasted 3 months. I started to test things by putting food that used to irritate me back into my diet. It seemed to work until 1 unlucky weekend when my stomach and guts went crazy and my 'ibs' came back. I had burning throat, feeling sick, bad diahrrea etc.
So this got me thinking....
It has to be the antibiotic that changed things for me. Which points to bacteria, which then leads me to SIBO or just generally an imbalance in bacteria.
I took mastic gum for 2 months. After a month my stomach felt better. I eat gluten free, no fizzy drinks or caffine and things improved. I kept feeling tired and my legs randomly ached. I took magnesium suppliments and this has helped a lot. I think this maybe something my body is lacking. 3 days after I started taking magnesium I felt much better.
My ibs is still frustrating me. I'm gutted I felt normal for 3 months and now in suffering again but I feel much better and have a better understanding of this whole 'ibs' thing.
I totally agree with you Maurice. In my case and probably many others, it's bacteria that's the problem!

I started my taking 2g of L Glutamine last night. My stomach doesn't feel good today. It's making strange noises. I took another 2g this morning. I'm not sure whether this is one of these things that you feel worse initially before feeling better? I have taken l glutamine before but stopped because I thought it was actually making things worse.
I will keep at it and see how things go.

Can't really say whether or not I'm seeing improvement. Think it's early days. Will persist with it and let you know how things go in a few months.

I learned that taking another rx ( can't mention here as one of the rules of this forum) (so ask your doctor)....with the first antibiotic in the regimine it will not kill off all the good bacteria in the gut, therefore I do not suffer with IBS and yeast infections. It took me a few years to put it all together way before the TV adds for yogurt. I have been free for 20 years from IBS. I was always the one that knew where all the restrooms were in the city, way before the IPhone....
I also eat yogurt every day to maintain good gut bacteria. After a few years my IBS is now history.
Also watch my diet do not eat many greasy foods and other foods that can trigger IBS. I still enjoy fries & other fried foods, at home I fry in avacado oil, palm oil or coconut oil.
Stress is a big trigger & another good reason to watch the foods that are not good for IBS and eat yogurt or take supplements daily. I raised 5 boys all became teens at the same time, plus I ran my own business. Talk about stress. I look back and wonder how I did it. LOL

I suffer from IBS -D. Not an extreme case but enough to annoy me during my usual life.
I know everycase of Ibs is diffrent, but decided to give a try to the treament that cured you.
First i started with just probiotics and i felt a bit better, but didnt last long. When i added l-glutamine i felt a dramatic improvement from first day. I would say like 80% better.
Then i thought that rifaximin was the piece of puzzle missing, i took it. My plan was to do 1200g x 14 days. During the treatment i just was a bit worse, but didnt notice any improvement, however now in day 12 i had to stop the treatment because im having a very bad diarrea (it might be i ate a salad with garlic, i dont know, but i spent all night on toilet).
I´ve stopped taking the antibiotic, im scared it can be c. difficile, but i dont want to be paranoid about it, i hope it will get away soon because all my improvement with l-glutamine is gone.
For now i gonna keep taking l-glutamine and probiotics. I actually regret i took this rifaximin, im back to where i started, at least i didnt loose so much money (i´ve heard in US cost 900dollars, here i just paid 30).
I will keep you updated. Hope to be 100% good some day, like you are.

By the way, i readed an article about l-glutamine. Saying that it could accumulate on the brain, causing some problems in future. Have you read about that?
