100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

I think the idea here is that IBS could be autoimmune (according to Maurice), in which case step one is to heal your gut. Whether you do it with L-glutamine or NAcetyl glucosamine or collagen or bone broth or zinc + l-carnosine or vitamin A, the idea is that the junctions in your gut are open and you need them to close. This is not controversial in the world of functional medicine doctors, and if I were any of you saying L-glutamine didn't work for them, I would personally systematically go through other safe options that have the same effect. But it's complicated, so read up on it! It may require eliminating gluten and maybe getting allergy tests to remove triggers; these tests are also controversial. And of course probiotics (bacillus coagulans, lactobaccilus GG), change in diet, addressing possible SIBO. That's my interpretation of Maurice's advice.

Thank you for your suggestions. Anything I want to try my doctor has flatly refused. I am currently on pain medicine and that's all. I will make these suggestions to the nutritionist and see if she feels they would help for me to see a holistic doctor.

Look up mastic gum for h.pylori. But Bacillus Coagulans is great for IBS (I love it!), and I second VSL 3.  Have you tried saccromyces boulardi?

Hi, I am new. Just wanted to jump in the conversation. I had never had bowel problems until last April 2015. My symptoms weak, fatigue, lots of diarrhea more than 10 bm a day, severe nausea, upper left abdominal pain, loud rumbling stomach/ colon noises ans had lost 20lbs in 2 weeks was diagnosed with ibs and severe depression. Went back to pcp and insisted on a GI. Had an endoscopy the beginning of June and was diagnosed with h pylori and esophagitis and gastritis and stomach nodules. I was prescribed 3000 mg of antibiotics for 10 days and prilosec. My symptoms got worse with the antibiotics and was told it was ibs. Went back to the doctor mid august and was diagnosed again with h pylori. And was prescribed 4000mg of antibiotics for 21 days. My symptoms improved but continue with majority of the symptoms. I had another endoscopy and colonscopy done in December 2015 and was told I still have gastritis and there was nothing wrong with the colonscopy and was diagnosed again with ibs. My symptoms have slightly improved. I continue with the loud rumbling noises throughout the day, upper left abdominal discomfort with spasm. 2 weeks ago I was put on Buspar 5mg 2 times a day and 1 pepcid at night. I also started to walk 2 weeks ago 5 times a week 3 miles. Can you please help me so I can recover from the ibs. Never had this until h pylori.

hi Maurice, just want to know can i repeat again Rifaxim for a week because i am not improving well .its my 3rd month of the treatment with proboitics and glutamine .

Hi, you may try Rifaxim again but check with your Doctor. I think that you do not need to take Rifaxin again, just continue with the treatment because as I have said previously, some people take longer than others to heal their guts. There is one of the followers here that is still around one year of treatment and still is improving, she did not see results in the first half of the year if I am not mistaken. So my advice is for you to stick to the treatment and have patience. You unfortunatly may be one of the ones that take longer to heal. There was one case that took only one month to heal while I took longer like others. Good Luck

I was asking more bc of the strains. Only certain strains have been studied and shown to help IBS. Bacillus coagulans is great-- read the reviews. Many of the ppl are IBSers. B infantis is another.
