Hi All! Hope everyone has been having a great day. Just a quick question please, I am on the 10th week on 100mg and still feeling a lot of hopelessness, still getting waves of sadness/depression/ still feeling sick and spaced out during the day. Afternoons/evenings/nights are better, also noticed that I have 2 easier days every week which I didnt have before. My psychiatrist says I should switch medication because this is quite poor improvement, no point to wait more time. Anybody felt this way around 10 weeks after the increase and got better later please?

Hi, I would wait and give it one more month. You can check my other posts. I answered someone else with a similar question. This med works to reduce your anxiety/OCD first, and takes longer, 3-4 months to actually help you with your depression.

Switching meds is often very hard because there may be adverse effects from one drug to another drug and you may experience all new and different side effects.

It appears that this med is working for you, with some good days and better in evenings, so please stay the course - I urge patience!

Prayers coming your way. Hang in there. It will get better.

Thanks very much for your comment. Today Ive been having really bad day again, I feel very hopeless and depressed nearly as bad when I started. Its my 11th week on 100mg, and about 25 weeks alltogether. Do you think it still can get better? I am afraid its far too much time and it its not working by now it wont even work ever.

You do feel a bit better since being on this med than not being on this med right? Also, give it time. If you don't feel much better in a month, then I say you might need to increase your dosage. This is what I would do. I know it's hard, but keep reminding yourself, that, this too shall pass. Take care.
