100mg sertraline for 4 months & feeling anxious

Ive been on 100mg sertraline since October for anxiety & feeling low, I've been fine but the last 2 days I've had abit of anxiety & I'm wondering if I need to up my dose. I've heard that your body can use to the sertraline & stop working. Has anyone else experienced this ?

I've been on 100mg for 7-8 months and still have days of anxiousness it takes time and you do have blips every now and again, just give it time, always discuss with your dr about increasing

    Hello Locky,

I think that sometimes we just have to expect up and down days, more good than bad hopefully, as sertraline generally does a good job for most people. stick with it, and theres a very good chance this will chance pass out of your system and you will return to your good old self.

I feel the same this week , I'm on 100 since January 2016 it's my upped dose , I was feeling great but couple of days ago I started feeling anixity about not being able to sleep and scared of that with panic attack I thought I was starting to feel normal like 80% but with this I don't know .

Any advice ? I'm going to see my physician next month . I'm scared I don't know what to do .

Hi no I didn't up my dose & the anxiety has passed which I'm sure yours will too. It's when you get a negative thought & you start worrying about it, mine was because I was really tired & I started associating it with when I first started to feel anxious back in September & it escalated from there but it was very mild & easier to handle. Just think to yourself I won't get anxious because I'm on medication & it could help your brain to not escalate things
