Hi there I'm new to this site! Have been on 20mg citalopram for 10weeks and although I'm way better than 10weeks ago I'm still feeling really sick and still over thinking and getting anxiety although no where near as bad! I was previously on estcitalopram for 10years after suffering pnd when my son was born and managed really well but this year had a massive anxiety/ depression breakdown! Docs decided to switch to sertraline which was awful then venlaflaxine again awful now cit which is ok! Increased to 30mg but side effects were awful so now back on 20mg but thought the sickness would have gone by now!!!

Hi Foxy, I am sorry that your'e feeling rough.I have just icreased to 20mg after 6 months of 10mg. Although I was just ok on the 10, it didn't really do the trick. Feel much the same as you,and I am only 15 days in. Was really hoping to have felt a little better by now. I have to stick to the 20mg and give it a fair chance, and there are loads of great people on the site who will tell you it can take longer than 10 weeks. I was hoping they were all wrong, but it seems not rolleyes. hang in on your 20mg and give it a while longer. Thinking of you, Lee.

Hi Richard it took about 8weeks to feel better but slowly! Some good days some bad! The beginning was awful really high anxiety! I still get a little anxiety now if I over think but I take one day at a time! Still have nausea and bad tummy though but at least I can go to work and live my life again! How long have you been on yours?

Hi Polly, did 6 months on 10mg and increased to 20mg two weeks ago. Still have the anxiety, and my list of moans above. Wish it worked faster, since I could do with a mood boost and some Christmas jolly. Oh well, will hang in there and hope you do the same x Lee.

We will both get there it's a long road but there will be light at the end of the tunnel! Try and stay positive and I'm sure you'll enjoy Christmas! Having the support from my amazing family and friends and having a good doctor really helps. If I'm honest last time I had major melt down 10years ago it took me 6 months to a year to feel completely better but I would still have the odd blip here and there! Hang in there too! Xx

Hi there, I'm Sam and like your self I have only just come on this site too. I have been on 20mg of Cit and have been on it for just over 9 weeks. Before I went on the drug I was a mess had massive panic and anxiety attacks and felt overwhelmed by life. Felt all the effects possible and still get anxiety a little nothing like I did have but the niggle is still there. Always trying to stay positive but living with it can be hard. I get days when I feel a little fuzzy then I get really good days, keep going with it.
