If you are going to quit its best in my experience to slowly taper off instead of quitting cold turkey.

Claire, I do not suggest ever going cold-turkey like you did. I personally know, because I've done it too many times. I've also tapered off extremely slowly but that didn't work in the long run either.

50mg is next to nothing. I've gone as high as 100mg and even higher. My advice to you is to stay on the med and exercise and eat healthy and get enough sleep and manage stress and maybe try some CBT so that eventually, you may be able to get off the med. Try breathing exercises, etc. Hope this helps.

Me, I'm a done deal. I don't foresee myself getting off this med, ever. Been on 100mg for far too long. I just want it to keep working for me without having to increase the dosage or change meds.
