12 days after hydrodilation I am in massive pain (after an initial good result) ????

Hi There
After a very very painful few months, my frozen shoulder was treated on teh 3rd june with hydrodilation. I tolerated the procedure really well.
I was thrilled and amazed by the results - two days after I had an amazing ROM, alnost back to normal! and was 90% pain free. Prior to his ROM was very limited. YAY!!! thought I.
I went for my first Physio treatment on the 9th... he was impressed with my ROM. He gave me three exercises to do at home, and suggested I do 20 reps 4 times a day fi that was comfortable, for the next week. Then he would get me using a dynaband he said.
well.
Everything went to bloody pieces. I felt things seizing up again over the weekend, and by early sunday morning (12th June) I was in terrible pain and the ROM was back to pre-hydrodilation levels!!!
I called my shoulder specialist adn spoke to his office manager who told me that thsi was common as I entered the 'healing phase'.
Truly, as I lie here at 3am in awful pain, unable to lie down, I really have to wonder about that.
It was also discovered that I have calcified tendinitis in the same shoudler so I am wondering if maybe this means that teh hydrodilation has not worked...or has worked and the C T is kicking in painwise.
Im so confused, and so disappointed after nearly 5 days of amazing movement and lack of pain. WHy why why would that just disappear?
Thansk for any and all responses

FS is such a multi-faceted creature. Keep doing what you feel is best though for you, weighing the advice you're given. Read lots while you're up not sleeping anyway...

After the hydrodilation I had so little pain that I was on no meds at all! No painkillers, no nothing. I felt amazing.
Anyway - nwo I am on a stronger form of Voltaren twice a day (antiinflammatory) as well as just straight panadol and that seems to be doign the trick. Mild discomfort btu thats all. Im so relieved. Ii guess its just goign to be a longer journey than I thought.
I thikn I'll give physio a miss this week while all settles down and re-engage with that next week.
haha - one armed hug back,
Hilary
