12 days on Fluoxetine 20mg, suffering severe tiredness. Will this stop?

I was recently prescribed 20mg Fluoxetine for Peri-menopausal mood swings.

I am 47 years old and never took an anti-depressant before..

I dont feel depressed and I am happy with my life, but the moods were horrendous.

Its only day 12, so I know this may sound pathetic but the tiredness I am experiencing is awful. I can barely function at the moment and my husband is having to do most of the tasks at home with our 8 year old son as I am too exhausted to help.

I have always been an energetic person and get up at 5 am to do the gym and yoga.

However since starting this medication i simply have not got the energy.

I am starting to worry this is how it is going to be from now on, and I will end up numb and exhausted always.

I am trying to stay focused and give it a month but I feel like throwing in the towel to feel normal again.

I would be so appreciative of some advice.
