I have lot of muscle loss in the calf and overall weakness.Every time I try to put weight on my leg it get swollen, the rest for few day and its better.
want to know how much weight my tendon can bear and is good for it.
And when have you guys walked without crutches after surgery?

If your doctor says you can put weight on it then its not the tendon that will be the problem. Everyone's leg gets pretty weak and you just have to get it back in shape through exercise/physical therapy. I had surgery December 23 and was walking by Feb 22, but definitely with a limp. And yes it will get pretty swollen after you do anything on it for awhile. Just elevate and ice once you're off it.

Today made 4 weeks and 1 day since I had my surgery and it also is the day that I had my case removed. Dr. wrapped my foot and am now in a walking boot with 1 wedge. I'm still using the walker but he wants me to dump it after a couple of days so that I can get used to walking with boot. He wants me to start physical therapy for 6 weeks and start as soon as possible.
Putting my foot down for the first time today was like whoaa! It's like learning how to walk all over again! I too am experiencing pain with a little swelling. As soon as I sit down I put my feet up. Oh and Dr wants me to wear a foot splint at night to keep my foot at a certain angle. Anything is better than hopping around with this walker!

Good to know you are back on you feet in 2 months, my worry is thats its 3 months for me and I still need help.Worried where the thin line of streaching and over streaching is.
I am just waiting to be on my own, well I have an appointment with my docter on monday let me see what he has to say.
