I have my date for band fitting which is 18th Aug with James Halstead at Ramsay Weight Loss. In the pack they sent me there is everything i need to know including my pre opp diet info. Will i have another appointment with them before my opp? I have lost weight since my original appointment but wasnt sure if they weighed you again before you start pre opp?

Hi, I'm having mine at the yorkshire clinic on the 16th June with Mr Halstead.  I'm already on day 4 of my preop diet.   I have a friend who had the band fitted she lost vast amounts of weight at least 10 stones.  I'd like to lose 4 stones.  Apparently it can be frustrating for up to the first 3 - 4 months it really does take up to one - two years to get the maximum results, she literally seemed to lose a ridiculous amount of weight after 12 months thats because it takes a while to get the right restrictions.  So you are taking the first positive steps, my philosophy for what its worth Rome wasn't built in a day and I really hope it works, I'm personally glad it takes a while as I really want to save my skin, so I'm thinking of lifting weights,  my friend has been left with excess skin.  Anyway ill let you know how I go on 11 days to go!

    Hi

Just to advise I've had my band fitted and back home, Mr Halstead was really nice, I had a consultation initially and another chat with him pre and post op, he was really happy with my progress.  On the liquid diet.  The nurses were great.  I'm tired at the moment and really sore.  Other than that in high spirits.
