12 Years of Nausea, Constipation etc. (long read)

Hello. I'm a 22 year old female. I apologize in advance for the length of this.

Ever since I was a baby, my parents called my Pebbles because whenever they changed my diaper, my stool was hard rocks.

I've had stomach issues for as long as I can remember. I remember always complaining about feeling sick. We tried going Lactose Free when I was a kid but it didn't help.

In the 5th grade (10 years old), I got really sick. I dropped weight. You could see my ribs from my front and back. People would look at me and think I was dying. I was put on medical leave from school for 6 months. I ended up having an endoscopy which showed a large scar on my esophagus they believed was caused by a Stomach Ulcer, but they were never certain.

We tried to go Lactose Free again, Gluten Free, Pepcid, Zantac, everything you could think of. Here's a brief list of what I experience constantly

Nausea (sometimes barely noticeable, sometimes debilitating)

Stomach pain

Dizziness/Lightheadedness

Constipation (Can easily go 5 weeks without going)

Acid Reflux

GERD

*Have NEVER vomited from any of this*

I can go weeks without these issues being that bad, but I will get hit by it and I can't even look at food. I will sleep on the bathroom floor because I'm so nauseous. This will last for about a week. Sometimes less, sometimes more.

Not often, but occasionally, I wake up with my throat and nasal cavity burned by stomach acid. I can't drink alcohol because it makes me so nauseous and gives me acid reflux, that I can't sleep.

There are nights where I can't sleep because of the nausea. Or I can't go into work. There are days/weeks where I can't even look at food without feeling sick, and days/weeks where no matter how much I eat, it's not enough. Which causes my weight to fluctuate like crazy. Plus, my weight goes up when I'm constipated. Which is all the time.

I was on Pepcid for 12 years and recently took myself off, which has actually given me some relief.

I feel dizzy/lightheaded every day. I feel nauseous (to whatever degree that day holds) every day. Pain isn't as much of an issue, but it's definitely there.

I'm 22. I should be out having fun, but I can't. I constantly have to cancel plans because of how s****y I feel. It affects my job, my social life, my family life, my mental health, everything.

I have had 8 different gastroenterologists in the past 12 years. No one has been able to figure it out.

I've had 2 endoscopies and a colonoscopy. I've had food allergy tests. A Gastric Emptying Study. Blood work. Ultrasound on my Gallbladder. All fine.

They have thought it has been Celiac, GERD, Gastroparesis, IBS-C, Acid Reflux, and so many other things.

I currently take Zofran for the nausea and Senna for the constipation. We tried Pepcid, Zantac, Fiber, Protonix, HCL with Pepsin, nothing helps. The Zofran is even starting to not help.

They want me to schedule another endoscopy since the last one I had was 7 years ago. But the one 7 years ago was fine. And the one from 11 years ago showed that scar.

My aunt recently had her Gallbladder removed with close to the same symptoms. She had vomiting though, and a lot of pain. Neither of which, have been issues for me. But my doctors don't think my symptoms are Gallbladder related.

I don't know what to do anymore. I have no quality of life. Why can't they figure this out?

What could be wrong me? I'm at my wit's end. I have zero quality of life.

I also have a benign, inoperable brain tumor. It was treated with 2 Brain surgeries and 20 rounds of Chemotherapy. They don't think it's linked, but I figured you will need all the information you can get.

Thank you.

    Hi mattie93885

    What is your diet like??

Healthy. There's not a vegetable or fruit I won't eat. I love salads. I don't eat a lot of red meat, if any at this point. Oatmeal with banana or eggs and Ezekiel toast for breakfasts. Fruit and a veggie when I pack my lunch for work. Pita chips and hummus. Or turkey and cheese on a low carb wrap. That type of stuff. I'm pretty healthy

      Hi mattie93885

Obviously then it's not your diet causing your digestive problems, nausea and dizziness. I think it could be attributed to the benign brain tumors which may be pressing on neurons and making you dizzy and nauseus, but i'm no specialist on brain tumors but dizziness and nausea are usually associated with the head. For example when lying down you feel nauseas and can't sleep....i'm afraid this is all speculation and cannot be taken as certain so i would advise going back to your specialist and see if there are any further tests that can be carried out to ascertain the cause of your symptoms...my very best wishes to you....

Not being haughty or smart but surely a forum like this cannot simplify your symptoms. I do hope you recover but qualified professionals are certainly needed for your condition. Anything on here is guess work and you don't need that, nor will it do you any good mentally or physically. A genuine get well to you.
