12weeks on 20mg, still feeling low

hey all,

so im 12weeks in on my 20mg of Citalopram, and I'm finding that I'm still worried about my heart rate and that there's something else wrong. Is it normal to still be like this this far in? I'm also still very sleepy, even after a full nights sleep. I'm scared that I'm going to be told to up my dose as i know side effects come back. Just generally feeling low and i just want to feel myself again with out any of this worrying.

Any advice or supportive words would be greatly appreciated x

    Hi Jadelou,

i am around 12 weeks on 20mg too and have been very up and down too! i m putting it down to the new lockdown, hubby going back to work, and the general changes to normal life at the moment!!!

i have terrible health anxiety and having too much time at home does nt help me at all!!

I find low mood goes hand in hand with tiredness. if i m having a bad anxiety day, i ll feel extremely drained/exhausted too!!

I really do know how you are feeling, i guess we all need to just keep battling on through and wait for those good days. in the meantime, do you practise mindfulness? i find it really helps.

my baby is due for her next open heart surgery in the next month and i am dreading it, i think it's that that has triggered my anxiety to flare up, over the last few days i have had a very very mild headache, its barely there but its annoying in the fact i can feel it. Its annoying and irritating lol.

This new lockdown definitely isn't helping either.

I hope you feel better soon, I'm feeling ok just tired and stressed at the moment lol.

      Keep strong 💜
