I sense something move in front of vagina if i sit down.. I think it's the spongy area before urethra or may it's how it is after the surgery. I have no bulge in vagina which is good.

I have appointment booked for may 14 th so will have to wait . Anyone have any similar feelings in this area at all after anterior repair and tvh? I also sense it when I do pelvic floor ifbi lift up my front area. My mind boggles with it.. Is love to hear from anyone who may know what it Is.xxx

    Hi welshgirl67,

Hmm...not sure exactly what you mean "urethra feeling".

However, last week at 9 week post op, I started getting out a bit. On Monday,  I rode sitting on a pillow in the car for about 30 minutes to the restaurant where we had to wait to be seated standing for about 10 minutes. The next day I had to ride for about 40 minutes one way to give my mother's caregiver the day off. Then I rode 40 minutes or so back home. I really did not do much more than sit on the couch all day, getting up to walk along the side of my mother through out the day to the bathroom and back to her seat. On Wednesday, I woke up with what felt like swelling inside my vagina pelvic floor area and my abdomen appeared distended. I rested the next two days and the swollen feeling seem to go away as well as the bloated distended abdomen. I did not feel like I over did it at all but guess my body had a different opinion.

I am sharing my situation for two reasons. First, I thought maybe the swollen feeling I had in that area might be the same as your "urethra feeling" you described. Second, since you are a few weeks ahead of me in your recovery, I wondered if you had the same feeling when you started what seems like small recovery steps?

I hope you get great news at your May 14 post op appointment. I also hope you share with us what you learn at your appointment.

Wishing you continued progress in your recovery.

      Hi Brenda

You sure have been busy lol. I didn't do nothing but rest for 6 weeks only small walks around the garden.

I could of done a lot more but I'm wise to the recovery now.. Last time I had my anterior I really did nothing at all either but that failed.. However I feel it was the consultant who didn't do a strong repair.. My new consultant is amazing and I have every bit of faith in him and his word when he has told me all is normal.

The feeling I have is in the front, just feels like a running but not at all painful.. I am also still having deep stitches come away from inside sound which are very thin but like fine fishing wire😑

I only had my anterior wall done along with tvh so I'm not sure if back wall will flip some time in the future but I know I will definitely get it sorted if it does.

Don't go doing to much cycling as it's a lot of pressure of the front and back healing tissues.. Xx

Thank you Welshgirl, I think even when we think we are doing just a little bit it is still more than we realize. I sure hope and pray this surgery works for you this time! Take care of yourself and I will do the same!
