Some encouragement for people recovering from thr I had my hip replacement in August 2014 and can't believe the difference it has made to my quality of life.

I now forget all about my new hip as I rush round my supermarket after carrying out an 8 hour physical shift at work.

And best of all I sleep soundly all night with no pain!!! amazing.

Yes I too did a double take at Aug 2014.... and hopefully assumed it was 2013!  8 weeks on from mine and still feels like my horse has kicked me, esp after sitting for a time... and still have knotted thigh and calf muscles,

Hi Jacqueline63272, i think you mean 14 weeks post op.

Actually, since you had it in August 2014, you're only about 4 weeks post op.

Unless you meant last years hip replacement.

Be careful how you move with your new hip, you wouldn't want to dislocate it in anyway. But I can say this congrats on your progress.

I also had a hip replacement on July 17, 2014 which today is 11 weeks post op.

I only counting the day of the week i had surgery on as a one week interval rather than the date.

    Good luck, on your recovery.
