14 weeks post op concern

Back again to hear more wise words from you all! I am approx 14 weeks post op, vag hysterectomy, everything was prolapsed and sacrosp. attachment. Healing has been fine. Urogyn said looked good on my visit a few weeks ago. Over the last week I have been feeling the feeling that something is not right. That fullness in the vagina feeling. I am so paranoid. It is lumpy inside, but I can tell that a rounded area does appear when I am on my feet. It's not the ball that it used to be, but certainly feels like the bladder area. Also the urethra area seems to be more exposed since surgery, just feels like an area that was probably not so close to the opening of the vag previously and Im more aware of it now. I have been doing pelvic floor exercises multiple times a day for the last couple of weeks so I was wondering during if that has anything to do with the way it is feeling lately. Anyone familiar with any of these feelings? I go back in January for one more check.

Also these darn bubbles! What the heck? I asked the doc and she looked perplexed.

hi, I'm almost 3 weeks post op, so numb on left side of my vagina, butt and part of my leg. it's also the side I have horrible burning nerve pain. Came home with a catheter, removed it 4 days ago, have to really focus to pee, sometimes it's dribbling out of control. I'm practicing kegels, praying to gain control before I have to be back to work, where I stand all day. I haven't had much guidance from my surgeon, which is disconcerting, This patient blog has given me more reassurance, so thank you to all that share their stories. I worry that the position I get into to try and drain my bladder, could be putting stress on the repair, again no guidance . It doesn't help that I live 3 1/2 hrs from Dr., so I can't just go get checked, and I can't even sit on a pillow comfortably, so being in a car for that long would be torture. Also, has anyone had a acne breakout on their face, I have hundreds of tiny pimples that popped out 3days ago, and I'm 62.

    hi

I know the feeling all too well lol. I had tvh and an repair done over 22 mths ago. although I healed fab my back wall is a grade 1 but feels worse when I need a poo.

I get that falling out feeling also but for me I thinks it's the back wall . front wall seems okay but always worry it has dropped a bit. I dont want anymore surgery yet if my back wall gets worse I will definitely get ut done as I find going for a poo a struggle. glycerine supps do the trick each day so that's good.

after these repairs and hyster we will never be completely the same after as everything is changed and a lit more weaker. esp after menopause.

    Hi,

I had the feeling of fullness at 10 weeks post op, tvh and anterior repair and could feel a bulge inside. I also felt the area between the urethral opening and the vagina hanging down low which I never felt before surgery. At about 16 weeks I went back to see the surgeon who said he couldn't see anything wrong. The problem continued so I went back again at 10 months post op and he confirmed I have a grade 1 anterior prolapse but said he cannot improve it. I am using oestrogen cream daily and keeping up the exercises but am uncomfortable every day, mostly from the low urethral area.

What you describe in your post sounds very similar to my experience. It's good that you are going back in January.

hi, sorry you're not feeling right, in Jan 2019 I had anterior and posterior done with ssf, in the first couple of weeks I felt my urethra was wobbly/sensitive somehow but that has resolved now. I had 2 follow ups when doc said all is good but I feel a small bump in vagina and very uncomfortable around back passage area was told it's scare tissue and I'll have to live with it! Use laxido to keep things movig! I've been doing PF exercises every day (from week 2) think that's a good thing and oestrogen cream for few months. Do hope everything settles down and your Jan check goes well xx
