Hey, first off. I know it's scary. It's stressful and there's a lot to think about. It's going to feel really hard for you for the first bit but it's not your fault. The only thing to do now is look forward. Make sure he gets tested and don't assume he has it. If he doesn't, we want to keep it that way. There's so many people that are going and that have gone through what you're feeling and you're not alone. what test did you get? IgG, IgM, Culture (swab)?

I got the culture swab and they gave me a medication and said if the outbreak doesnt go away it might not be herpes, but it seems to be getting better but that may be because of the time ive had it, they said the culture isnt a for sure thing and im just really not sure what to do in this situation

So you got a culture test while having an outbreak, tested positive for HSV and they said if you continue to have it that you might not actually have herpes? How long have you had the rash now?

around two weeks, i tested negative but they said the culture test is inaccurate and i most likely have it. i just want to get to the bottom of this and see whats going on.
