sorry for long post -15 months go i started to experience lateral ankle pain on my right ankle. The pain came after i started wearing a new pair of heels. few weeks later i went to the doc who said it was tendonitis. I had a couple months of physio and it cleared up for a month or so.

From then on i had bouts of pain and being fine. The physio said to carry of with exercises, which i did. 6 months and still in pain i decided to use my private healthcare that i get free from work

I saw a sports injury specialist who took one look at me and said its achilles tendonitis. We did 6 weeks of shockwave, which helped and i was pain free again but then i got my pain back a few weeks later. I then had an ultrasound that showed some inflammation of the bursa so i had a steroid injection! It did nothing. MRI was normal with slight inflammtion of the bursa, achilles and peroneal tendons. Next im having an injection near the peroneal. Doc said if that doesnt work he will send me to a rheumatologist and a podiatrist

Im literally at the end of my tether, i cry most days with its getting me down. Im starting to think im going mad, surely if the MRI is normal theres nothing wrong with me?
