Sorry can't help you but will be very interested in your replies. With 2 partial knees and being only 60 with arthritis in the kneecap I think it's a given I will need revision eventually. I was hoping to get 20 years out of them and then some Star Trek type solution would be available😊.

      HI Tricia

When did you have your partials ?

I had one almost two years ago .

Was told would last my lifetime (59).  If you’ve had yours long time how are they doing ?

It isn't age its the wear and tear. Some people get 20 years, I got 9 but it wasn't age. I have a rare occcuring tumor and it ate up the bone causing the stem to loosen up. When the surgeon went in He took the lower piece out with his finger tips and gently tapped the femur piece and it fell out. Rehab is basically same and rehab is the same old, same old. I've had a couple of serious staph infections since and had to have the second one pulled completely for 4 months while undergoing antibiotic treatments. The 3rd prosthesis was put in but after a total of 11 surgeries and 30 rounds of radiation, there must isn't much left to deal with. Unfortunately, the tumor is still in there doing its dirty work. Hope this one lasts me till I'm done taking up space and oxygen here on earth. I'm afraid the next time they would have to amputate. I don't think or worry about it. I'm 81 and I've been fighting this fight since I was 65

I have always wondered how long mine will last. I had tkr on both knees almost 3 years now. Doing good still.  Can’t ride a bike which was my initial goal but can walk and stand for a long time which I couldn’t before.

I guess fingers crossed let’s hope they all last a long time.
