15mg too high? Sounds like it to me

I think you should back way off on the dose. It really sounds to me like 15mg is completely wrong. Lexapro is an incredibly potent SSRI, at 10mg. I sold Zoloft for years, point being, I studied Lexapro a great deal. Higher than 10mg does not always equal greater effectiveness. I am ready to take my day 8 of Escitalopram 10mg at 9pm. It is strong stuff, the dizziness I feel when I stand up is unreal. It is a great SSRI and I will stay with it. You take as much clonazepam as you need, don’t think there’s a stigma attached. I assume you all are taking it at night?

    Hey Dave,

    I completely agree.

The Doc swapped me from 30mg Mirt for 7 years to 20mg Lexapro overnight...it nearly killed me.

Didn't know what was going on but my head spin and brain zaps etc were unreal.. I cut myself back to 7.5 mg for nearly a year to stabilise and am now able to take 10 mg finally.

They kept telling me 7.5 wasn't a medicating dose but it sure knocked me around.

Stuck with it because it did help with a lot of other issues but nearly a day didn't go past when I thought of changing....the only thing stopping me was the thought of all those withdrawals again.

I'll never take a doctor's word without checking first again and I would advise anyone taking it to go slow and work up....

Still having repercussions from that day I swapped and it's been 14 months.

I take mine in the morning

I recently just went from 10 to 20mg. I was on 10mg for 3 the past 3 months and stayed constantly dizzy!
