Hi All, not been on for a while, as have been feeling pretty good. i started on citalopram back in June, i have slowly gone up through all the doses, as i have ocd intrusive thoughts 40 mg now for 8 weeks, i have been much better, but every time i menstruate the anxiety rears its ugly head. i have recently had a mirena coil removed and have had a very heavy period this month, and it seems to have triggered a setback. i am so upset i feel like im going backwards. is it normal to have setbacks still after so long on citalopram? all advice welcome

if you've only been on 40mg for 8 weeks count your recovery from your last increase x so technically it's a setback at 8 weeks rather than 16 x that's completely normal especially near your period time x keep going it will pass 😊
