16 weeks in and hit a low

I have been taking 20mg of cit for approximately 16 weeks now and it has been really helping and then suddenly at the weekend I started to feel anxiety creeping back in. Last two days been really awful and Dr has advised that I can take diazepam for few days to see if this helps me. He has said it's quite normal for this to happen but it has really knocked me. I just wondered if anyone else has experience with this and can offer me any advice or encouragement at all please.

it can happen and is pretty normal even at 16 weeks. it will pass soon. it always does and each time it happens it will be less intense and happen less. just power through x you got this!

Thanks I guess I just thought that I was over the worst of it all so its really upset me. Also some of the side effects I had at beginning are still present and I thought that they would all be gone. Can some side effects remain permanently.. Like the aching body and nerve twitching?

no they won't remain permanently. they can for some people but that's pretty rare.
think about it like this. they have only come back recently and they went away right originally. and your in a bit of a dip.
its definitely not coincidence x dont let your anxiety tell you it wont go away x easier said than done though I know x

Thanks. Just makes my anxiety worse when I have physical symptoms to deal with as well. But I'm hopeful that it will pass and I'm still only 14weeks on this journey so I guess that's still quite early for total improvement?

still pretty early if I'm honest x it gets easier though and soon you will feel a lot better. make sure it's not down to a brand change of medication. the docs say it doesn't make a difference but I can guarantee a change in brand can set you back a little bit.
the meds wont hit peak effectiveness until about 4 months and will continue to improve after that x so keep going you will do great x
how long before you started to notice some improvements? x

Noticed improvements at around 8 weeks I guess and been steady up until this set back this week. It could be the weather maybe as its been so hot and maybe I was also dehydrated, who knows 🤔 and that's interesting to know that peak is around 4months that gives me encouragement.

setbacks are definitely normal. it could be a factor of anything x just remind yourself that it will pass because it will 😊 x
it's hard to do when feeling so terrible but keep powering through and you will start to notice you're improving again soon.
