16 year old male with high RBC, hemoglobin and hematocrit

Recently took my son to the dr to make sure his thyroid was ok. Runs on my husband's side of the family. My son takes naps (but has for years), sometimes complains of a headache (nothing severe) and a week ago he was dizzy when going to bed. It took a bit to pass then he was ok.

Had bloodwork done on Monday.

His thyroid was in normal range but a few others were out of whack.

RBC 6.06

Hemoglobin 17.2

Hematocrit 49.7

She wants to retest in 2 weeks. She did mention dehydration but he hasn't had any stomach ailments lately to make him dehydrated.

Any thoughts?
