ello, im 16 year old male, i've been having symptoms of a heart disease for a while... im not very active when it comes to sports, although i used to be few years back... half a year ago i started feeling different like something's wrong with my heart, i've went to a doctor, regarding the chest pains and pressure i've been getting in my chest, my gp just said it could be anything at my age, like muscle pain... and that it is very unlikely for me to have a heart disease at that age... and when i told him that my heart feels weird when excercising and it seems too fast, he says well that's what the heart does when u excercise... i've went to other hospital few months back, where i got my ecg done, and blood tests. they came back normal, the doctor just said it might be vitamin lack, ect... i was thinking it might be anxiety, but im not sure now... it's been getting worse now i get some stabbing pains in the left side between my left nipple and my armpit, it is very weird, sometimes i feel dizzy after some movement, or i get heartburn... and even some arm pains from time to time... people keep saying it's anxiety or gas or muscular pain most likely, but i dont feel that way... my weight is 58 kg as a 16 year old, and height around 175 cm. im scared i feel like the doctors are missing something, and i dont want to die yet...

my blood pressure after some simple physical tasks such as using an air pump for a while, gets my blood pressure to 140/70 + and my heart rate to around a 100, where my grandma did it and she got to 130/80 and like 80 bpm... this really seems bad for my age...

also i often feel dehydrated for some reason no matter how much water i drink, sometimes it's just not enough, esspecialy in the mornings

i do not have history of diabetes or heart disease, and i dont think that any of my family does, except for my grandpa who has some heart problems because of too much salt

What I did in your situation, was buy myself a little ECG machine from Amazon, then when I got the symptoms I could take a reading of what was going wrong with my heart, print it, and show the docs.

Why that too much thinking? Sorry for saying that, but I think this is exaggerated thinking. As long as as your tests came normal, then its ok. Anxiety and overthinking is not good.

I believe that what you think will happen, means, if u think you have heart disease you will feel that all what you feel is not normal, fast heartbeat, dizziness, dehydration and pains is from your heart... and so on.

And any exercise normally increases blood pressure and heart rate+ anxiety, of course it will increase! And it is different from person to person. As long as it comes normal again then it's ok.

You should adjust your habits in food, have healthy foods, 4-5 small meals a day that includes fresh fruit and vegetables, do regular exercise, drink 2 litres of water, do NOT smoke, relax and stop thinking too much.! Do something you like that makes you active in your free time.. that will limit overthinking.

And you can do check ups every year or two years for you, only to reassure yourself.

You should know that you are blessed for not having any such disease! Just live your life!

Hope that helped, even for just a little :-)

I'm 17 and I have finally got a diagnosis of Paroxysmal AF. I had chest pain, pressure, palpitations, PVC's and so on. I went to the GP and they were concerned and did bloods, ecg (both normal) however I had an event monitor (you may want to enquire about that?) So you place it on your chest when you get symptoms. That came back abnormal and I got referred to cardiology where I had an echocardiogram and 48 hr ECG and ECG was abnormal with PVC's and lots of AF, the echo structure of my heart was normal with sinus tachycardia. I was instantly put on Bisoprolol (beta blocker, I was 16 then)for having sinus rhytm of 130 constantly. I've now been changed to Nadolol and seems OK for now.

Good luck, you won't die, if you're really concerned ask for a event monitor.
