hello there is a chance your daughter may have a hereditary form of pancreatitis. i am a 22 year old female with hereditary chronic pancreatitis despite the fact that my parents do not have this and i dont know anyone in the family with it. it is caused by a genetic mutation. for me it started with an acute episode but has reoccurred several times a year for about 12 years now. i hope this is not the case for you but i would recommend she not even touch alcohol lol ive been warned to never drink since i was 14
