hi guys so im back.. i havent been on here in forever but like 2 months ago i stared drinking a lot and i mean like every night i would go out well one night when i was drinking i got really really weak like i had to stop i dont know what happened but ever since then i have not gotten any better i went to the doctor for really bad weakness very bad muscle aches and headaches i thought i had a brain tumor or ms well they did a mri and everything came back clear.. they did a mono stop test and it was negative so right now i really dont know whats going on the checked for muscle damage and everything did a lot of blood work also.. everything came back good i did come down with the flu but i am over that now i was doing good for awhile like i worked full time again and was good i was not 100% but i was good now i have no energy for nothing my muscles hurt soooo bad like in my arms and legs and im very weak i just found out that im pregnant a few weeks ago this will be my first and i am kinda scared everyday is a struggle now.. i zone out so much my body hurts so bad i feel like im going to become paralyzed and thats my fear.. so is it possible that drinking a lot made me relapse ? and that a mono spot test can be negative and still have mono ?

    Hi Ravyn,

You should have them check for EBV, not just a mono spot test. Mono is an illness caused by the Epsetin Barr virus so it's possible to have active EBV and not actually have mono.

But I also feel like if you were drinking every night, I'm not super surprised that you didn't feel well. You may have gotten run down, dehydrated, etc.
