199 steps up to Whitby Abbey (UK)

Posted , 11 users are following.

Today hubby and I were in Whitby, I decided if I felt up to it (I am 9 weeks post op) I was going to try the Abbey steps, 199 up and the same back down, I did it with no peoblems at all. We spent about 5 hours walking with a couple of drink stops enroute. I feel fantastic. ready to go back to work now I think.

Wow - that's amazing Josey, very well done.

I was thinking about Whitby yesterday and you have spurred me on to adding the steps to my list of goals.

If I may ask, you say this is a MINI achievement? What is your ultimate goal? Snowden? Mount Everest? go girl! I love your posivity.

Ha ha. Its mini compared to some of the things I hear people on here wanting to do. I also have asthma, and was not out of breath at all, so its a win win for me. I must say I was so tired last night, hubby and I slept from 21.30 right through to 09.00 this morning.
