It is painful but I found windeze took the edge off. You can get these from most supermarkets or boots!

Just get up and move around when you are able!

    It will get better x

Hello, I had the same, awful isn't it ! You need to move about as much as possible to shift it quicker and also I had peppermint cordial and warm water which helped a bit and also sleeping in an upright position or it gets worse

    Hi

I had mine done end of march

    The trapped wind was horrible

I also used wind ease, moving around helped and sleeping upright.

Avoid carbonated drinks at all costs, the are a big no no, I still can't drink them now as they cause pain and stop me from eating.

It gets better as the day's go on.

    Good luck!

Peppermint tea and deflatines. I took both and had no wind at all. 3 weeks post op after I'd stopped them cos I thought I didn't need them I had the most terrible pain in my left shoulder and thought I was having an heart attack. Took a day to go. All find now though. Good luck.

Thanks, I'm going to take a slow walk down the chemist this morning and see what they have. I'm told it has to be melt in mouth ones or in water.

The pain is in the middle of my chest.. Trying to walk around a lot and sleeping with lots of pillows on my back.

Pain not too bad just a little discomfort when getting up from sitting down.

Thanks for all yr advice x
