1st time zopiclone

:? Hi I'm never on tablets and went to the doctor due to a lot of problems I have had for a long time. She said to take Zopiclone due to anxiety hence have not been a good sleeper. Taken since Thursday and total feeling spaced out like I have jet lag. Cannot drive is this normal. I have 2 weks supply. Can anyone advise me if this will get any better. Should I half the dose?

You should only take Zopiclone 'as required', certainly not every night otherwise, err, you get quite stoned  :? Imagine the 2 weeks supply has got to last 2 months or so (yes why not only take half on bad days and a full one on terrible days) smile

I took it for two months at Christmas. I had no side effects, except that it gradually took longer to fall asleep (never a prior problem) and a bit of post Zop insomnia. Given that I'm likley the norm, I'd be careful.

    Hi Folkes

I have taken Zopiclone 7.5mg many times with no real side effects. I am taking it due to sleep problems along with many other medicatins for depression and anxiety. It sort of works for me, well more than if i wasn't taking them. Normally it is a short time drug, anything from 3 days - 4 weeks but this time around i have already been on them 3 months. I suppose it depends on what the doc thinks is best for each patient. I think they think it is safer to keep me drugged up to the eyeballs but what they don't realise is that they no longer have the same effect. I have tried to stop taking them but unfortunaely i am addicted so please don't take them for anymore than 4 weeks, it's not a good feeling.

Mel[/quote:ae60947654] :P Thanks Mel 4 your advise. No longer on this as was totally spaced out, not good. Have tried Temazepam for a few days and Citalpram, but really not for me. Awaiting side effects to go. Thanks for your advice, but I am never taking these again.
