Well I DID IT!!!  I got theu my surgery.  The procedure took 1 hour, the Dr even gave my husband a picture of what they were removing as the camera was inside my body.  Kinda wierd but really cool!

I have 4 incisions and am kinda tired but feeling really good, very little pain, some discomfort.

Fnally got a good night sleep so that felt good.  My sugars are good and I am walking a little.  Going to rest and take it easy but so far it is smooth sailing!

    Hello Cara

That's great news.  Yes I found the same - discomfort but not pain.  Just listen to yur body and follow the instructions of the doctor and you are likely to have a very smooth recovery.  I made an amazing recovery.  It was strange as I hardly felt that I'd had surgery after about a week.  My gynaecologist has amazing skills and my body seems to do well with surgery.  Have had 6 surgeries in the past four years for different things, some minor, some major, but recovered quickly.  Good luck.  Lyn

      Hi Lyn

I seem to feel the same way, recovery is slow but seems to be smooth although I did get up this morning and am not sure if I am irritated from cathedar or starting to get a UTI.

I counted and this is my 12 surgery in my life so i am vry used to the healing process and I am not patient but I do know to take it slow and follow instructions.

Thank you for your kind words and I wish you all the best!

Hi Cara. How are you coping with the pain from the gas they pump in to you? For some reason thats what worries me the most!

Hi Maisie I know you have asked Cara but just to let you know that I didn't experienced any pain from the gas, a little wind pain perhaps but nothing major.

Hi Cara, just to say that your bladder is sensitive after surgery and a slight tingle is to be expected. Good to avoid caffeine, acid drinks, citrus fruits and vinegar, and drink loads of water. If you have dark urine with an odour, pain when you urinate, then it could be a UTI. Hope all continues good 😄

The first night i had some pain that was in my shoulder from the gas but other than that, no pain at all.  I can say that when i fart, it is nice lol cause i know it is coming out but honestly no pain at all and I was worried about that as well!

Spotting post surgery is quite normal.  I'd only be concerned if it continued beyond 2 weeks and if it were heavy.  Do mention to your doctor at check-up time.  I presume that you are going after 6 weeks for post-op check.

Great that all is going well for you.  Cheers Lyn

I had a slight pink discharge with occasional spotting for seven weeks, so don't worry unless it's heavy or more like a period. It takes time for your system to adjust - poor thing has had a bit of a hammering!
