2 months injection

Hi I was hoping someone might be able to help so my girlfriend just got the 2 months injection but now has irregular bleeding. Some doctors says that we must wait and see if it doesnt stop in 6 to 8 months and others say she has to go onto the pill but the thing is dont know how good the pill is and she forgets quickly so was wondering will it make a difference if she maybe goes on the 3 months or is it true that the bleeding can stop? And if so is it harmfull to her?

    Hi.

I had random spotting for the first 3 months of being on it, then eventually had no periods at all.  The pill with the same hormone works the same, you are just having a much smaller dose of it, rather than a big hit every 3 months.  Also you don't have to remember to take a pill every day on the injection. She may become emotional at cetain times, I was but can't remember if it was just after re injecting or when it was due to be re done?  Other recommendations is a copper coil!!  Thats what I'm trying next, no nasty hormones, no pill to remember, no weight gain and full sex drive!!  Defo worth a think, wont stop periods though.

No problem, just bear with her on the injection, esp if she comes off it, I had a particularly bad time coming of it.  It's fun not having periods interupting sex but wasn't worth all the side effects that came with it.  Any other questions give me a shout or look on here, I've learned lots from peoples experiences on here.  Good luck!
