1. Does anyone with OLP all of a sudden drool at night like a waterfall? I never in my life drooled and now I am grossing myself out. Is this an LP thing or not related?

2: anyone either OLP actually have success clearing tongue ulcers with an oral steroid paste? I can't get it to stay on so I am getting zero relief.

I understand about not being able to keep steroid gel/paste on the mucous membranes of your mouth and on your tongue. Silly as this sounds, I turn my hair dryer on the cool setting and hold my tongue in place with a dry face cloth, blow the spot dry, apply the paste/gel, and try to hold my mouth open, even if only for a minute or so. Beats not getting any of the substance!

I think the drooling may be connected . I hadn't made the connection until seeing your post but I too have started this and have olp. I had put it down to old age before, having reached the ripe age of 55! Sometimes however I awake with a really dry mouth!

when my old was at its worse I had to always have a tissue because of the drooling. Since I have used the oral paste as well as my other vitamin regimen it doesn't happen any more. Good luck

I have OLP and my mouth fills up with a greenish fluid, which I think is the tissues fighting the lesions. Its fills up and I have to rinse my mouth with saline at least 2-3 times. It also results in a bit of drooling if not more.

Thank you so much for the suggestion Cheryl. I shall try this today itself. Do you buy a ready made clove mouth wash? Since I have not seen it around, I shall boil some water with cloves and use it as a mouth wash.

I buy cinnamin and clove mouthwash. I also use a personal humidifier next to my bed 12 months a year
