2 Steps forward 1 back is this normal ?

Posted , 9 users are following.

Getting frustrated - just started week 3 of treatment and generally things are steadily improving then i get a day where things feel really scratchy again despite following the same routine - its a horrid reminder when I'm starting to have days where life is more normal and i don't feel under the dark LS cloud.

Am I expecting too much too soon ?

Thanks for your thoughts

    Sarah, ask yourself:

    1. what did i eat yesterday? sugar? carbs? tomato sauce? alcohol?
    2. what did i do yesterday. workout without a quick shower? perspiration can be as bad as urine.
    3. was i away from my routine and didnt use the moisture/barrier every time?

write it down...this will help you know what triggers to avoid!

So easy to become complacent. LS is insidious. Am on holiday and finding it hard to stick to my usual careful regimes. Important to keep track of diet and different routines as others say. LS creeps up on you when you are feeling its under control.

What is your routine? Is it just applying a steroid once or twice a day or more involved than that? Were you just recently diagnosed?

That happened to me last year for 8 months I have no reason that I know why I just was constantly using the clob cream and baking soda soaks etc. Then it just seemed to settled down. It's still always there but not so bad. The worst thing is when having sex sometimes it's OK but most times its always a bit sore some where or after it takes three to four days to settle and painful when I pee. I'm not sure if diet helps I've been doing keto it didn't make a difference
