Been on 20 mg of cit going on my 5th week I've taking 2 days on my fifth week, I've been feeling much better for a few days then started getting a lump feeling in my throat when I swallow with swollen lymph nodes probably just a cold or small infection except not sure about the lump feeling with swallowing only about half the time, but ever since that feeling about 4 days ago I feel like I'm close to being back at the beginning I'm gonna go to the drs Thursday to get myself checked out to make sure I don't need antibiotics or anything but I just feel super down and anxious about everything including going to the drs and what they will say then on top of that I just wanna sleep I find myself counting down the hours left in the day just so I can sleep because that's the only time I have free of thinking about this stuff, I've never felt like this before this all started and have no Idea what to expect on how long t takes to be back to normal for the majority of the time or with the entire thing really thanks in advance for the advice

Hi Cody, I am also in 5th week of 20mg of citalopram and had two days where I'm feeling a little better.By the sounds of other posts on here the road to recovery with citalopram is very up and down, the good times and bad times will come until eventually the good start to outweigh the bad. A feeling of a lump in the throat is common with anxiety so I've read, so don't worry too much about that, I'm sure your doctor will reassure you. Sara xx

I have found tho that just sucking it up and trying my best to move on to the next thing and kinda just occupying myself at least a little helps a lot, the acceptance part for me personally is the hardest part. Just accepting that's it's only the anxiety is very hard considering all the symptoms that I have and am currently experiencing. Every time I feel something that feels worse than the rest I always say I can deal with the rest if only this part will go away, then that particular symptom dissapears and I say the same thing about one that didn't seem that bad before the other symptom left, lol for me is was the dizzy/cloudy and not being able to focus was the absolute worst but now it's just the overall feeling of almost depression and constant worrying over every feeling in my body that just doesn't feel right even tho I know it's just the anxiety. Hopefully this is just a "blip" as they say and I'll get over it when I start to feel better from the cold or bronchitis or whatever it is that I have at the moment lol

Hopefully your GP will be able to help your lump in throat.
Try a salt water gargle and see how that works.
Make a list of your concerns so when you see your GP it will be easier to remember everything.
I just made an appointment for my toe nails to be cut and as soon as I made the appointment I put the phone down and forgot the day that the appointment is for. It is a real problem when you become a pensioner, I suppose it is my short term memory acting up again Lol

I semi believe my biggest problem is that I feel like I should be back to complete normal by now and I'm not and still haven't gained all the weight back that I lost initially, I'm literally only have way back and it's been 4 and a half weeks, then causes me to get anxious and I'm literally afraid to be home with nothing to do because I have all that time to just sit and let it fester, I feel like maybe no medicine might be better for me because I won't have a daily reminder when I take my pill everyday and that what I'm feeling is really how I feel and not a side affect or my anxiety being much more hightened due to the medicine, honestly just very confusing with so many different options and treatments and such, it's hard to find what's best

I am new to this whole forum thing and I am only posting, because I haven't found any discussion leading to how I am feeling.
I started Celexa almost 6 weeks ago. One week 10mg and I have been on 20mg since. After I had my period three weeks in, the following week I felt like a million bucks. This week, I am experiencing insane heartburn, stomach pain, cramps and nausea. I can eat if I need to, but at the the same time, the thought of food makes me nauseous. Just wondering, is it normal to feel like this? I know it takes time to fully be in my system, but the less I have to worry about the more I will start to feel better
