2 weeks in citalopram bad anxiety

Been on 10mg citalopram for 2 weeks, was previously on it for 8 weeks stopped because hair problems, swapped to sertraline for 9 weeks but side effects horrendous with awful depression so back on citalopram. Could I be getting withdrawal from such short time on sertraline? Some things not quite as bad as sertraline but anxiety pretty wacked up, is it just getting used to new med, gp said could be 2-4 weeks before settles down. Know I haven't helped by swapping meds but couldn't tolerate the sertraline and it affected my hair as well so should have stuck on citalopram!!!

it's very normal to have anxiety at this point still I had heightened anxiety for 12 weeks! now on week 14 is settling down.
had same issue with hair falling out in chunks but it but started settling after 8 weeks in it now almost no hair loss.
medication change obviously will make it harder to level out but it will just keep at it

Thhats good to know your hair is recovering. Wish I'd never swopped as some things were starting improve a bit. Now feel back to square one. Didnt think would make much difference after being on them so short a time. What dose you on?

it's still very early I was feeling horrible at 9 weeks. week 12 is when things sort of started improving. now I'm in week 14 slowly getting there. im on 20mg trying not to change my doses as this causes so many issues.

I started on 20mg about 5/6 weeks ago and it completely ruined me - anxiety through the roof and bad vomitting, nausea, hot flushes and diarrhea. Stopped to let my stomach recover and gone back on to it 4 days ago starting with 10mg every other day and wow, the difference is incredible. Feel like a human being again so hoping to just build up the dose gradually. Nausea has been minimal this time. Maybe talk to your doctor about lowering starting dose?

I'm only on 10 mg which is the lowest dose. Don't really want to mess around with dosage any more. Everyone keeps saying you should up the dose!
