2 weeks on zoloft and stopped

I was on Zoloft for 2 weeks and due to the awful side effects anxiety, brain zaps, insomnia, and feeling depressed and doomed I had to stop. I started on 25mg, and after a week did 50mg for 2 days only to worsen my side effects and went back to 25mg. On 3/18 I took my last dose in the morning, and on Sunday 3/18 I had this emptiness desperate feeling like I wanted it all to end. Not sure if it was suicidal thoughts, and I wanted to just crawl out of my skin. I decided to stop I didn't take it that day. I think I went this week with withdrawals.....brain zaps, head felt swollen, my nose felt numb not sure what that was about, my arms felt numb, agitated oh that awful feeling, insomnia, and feeling doomed and empty. I could not even cry. I thought since it was only 2 weeks that I would be fine by Tuesday but my week was hell. Now Friday its been a roller coaster I am clear one minute the next I am feeling edgy. Never again ZOLOFT. I hope tomorrow is better and I think its all withdrawal even if it was 2 weeks. Please someone tell it is withdrawal.

It is withdrawal. I had most of these symptons. You should be fine soon. I've read it's out of the system competely in approx 21 days.

How long did it take you to get better? And thank you I hate this feeling and I just never want to try another antidepressant again.

Sounds like you have had a bad reaction to the drug. I am coming down from 150mg to 25mg. I had bad side effects but I was taking other meds too. My head also feels full, foggy, dizzy. I also developed tinnitus. I can’t wait to get off this drug. The anxiety was hard but the drug has been much worse!

I totally agree with you. I rather just go natural at this point. I hope all this goes away soon and when it does I am going to do everything possible to help others find alternative ways. This is just awful.
