2 weeks post op microdiscectomy

I am 2 weeks today post op following L4/L5 revision microdiscectomy. I still have the low back pain upon standing and yesturday started with an ache and tingling in my left leg. Is this normal, can anyone advise. My walking is much better, but as my first op, 6 yrs ago relieved me of any pain instantly, this feels much different. I am seeing doc today to wean off all my meds and will ask them, but good to get any feedback from anyone who has been through the same. Thanks

    Hi Denise, i am 2 weeks post op and experiencing some intermittent pain as well. The doctor said this is normal, and that everyone heals differently, and that the nerve is trying to figure out how settle and calm down in the right place after being stressed for a long time. How are you feeling now? Any changes, or improvements? i'd love to hear what to expect in the coming weeks
