2 weeks post op sphincterectomy

I had surgery to repair my anal fissure exactly 2 weeks ago and although im not regularly in pain my bowel movements are still very painful with a lot of blood after. My bowel movements have been soft but I have had to strain a bit once or twice, i think mostly since it is hard for me to relax due to the pain/anxiety. I am terrified that the fissure will not heal. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

    I had a double fissurectomy and an Open LIS 6 days ago. Plus 2 sentinel piles were removed. Post-op I've had much more pain than I was led to believe I would have. And terrible pain during BMs. Also bad stomach pains from the pain meds. Today I did feel that the pain in general is lessening a bit. I hope it's a trend and not wishful thinking. I'll keep you posted. Or maybe I'll start a thread about my progress.

    I see it's been 7 weeks since you posted. How are you now?

    Not great still suffering some leakage when sitting down but don have much pain so going back to specialist again in June but don expect too much joy just got to live with problem i guess
