Hi there,

two years ago i joined this great forum. I was having chest pain related anxiety. I was then put on Citalopram 20 mg for about 18 months. I stopped 9 months ago as I felt completely fine (in fact I had been completely fine for a year).

Unfortunately 10 days ago I started having sinus/tension headaches.

I am worries that the Gp will put me back on Citalopram as the first months Citalopram can really make you ill.

I really don't know what to do.

thank you

    Hi Sylvia

You don't have to go back on citalopram just for tension headaches. perhaps a medication for headaches would be best tried first. Are you having anxiety symptoms? Maybe your tension headaches are because of all the bad news lately and Christmas. I would seriously think about it first. It sounds like you came off them before with no withdrawal symptoms? This may not be the case second time round.

      Hi Sylvia,

Yes, I get sinus headaches too, difficult to get rid of. I think diet plays a part in my case, too much spicy and rich foods.

You have a good Christmas too. Best wishes x
