2 years on from the op and I'm now taking more meds than before I had surgery..... 2x30mg duloxetine every morning, then 2x50mg tramadol followed by 2x30mg nefopam alternated every 3 hours with paracetamol thrown in and the pain still keeps me awake. I'm so tired and can't stop crying partly due to pain and partly frustration, can anyone help?

was the pain worse before the surgery or afterwards, i am about 5 months after a carpal tunel surgery, and thumb joint replacement same hand. i am still having pain, i cant take a lot of the pain meds out there, i throw up oxy, and viciton, i take the Gabapenton, 1200-1500mg a day, for my neck, and i use soma 350mg 4-5 times a day, along with ibuprophin to manage the pain, still not able to go back to work since the surgery, after i do my theropy i need drugs and ice to manage, i was told it will get better.

      Hi David

The pain is much worse now , I have been to physio today and been told that there is signs of crps and this needs to be worked on before anything else. I hope you recover soon.

I had CTS surgery in June. I was recently diagnosed with CRPS. I feel you're pain and frustration. I have been doing Physical Therapy for 3 months. It does help some but the therapy is painful also. I was given 5 sympathetic nerve blocks to try to get some use of my hand. It has helped some but still do not have a normal hand. This is hard to deal with as it is a 24/7 messing with my hand. The pain specialist has me using warm water and working my hand in a plastic tub. I don't know what to do either but I guess all we can do is keep. pushing on. May you be blessed on your journey.

I wear my wrist splints at night and they work great when the pain rises up.
