Hi all, today marks the the 20th week on Sertraline, I started on 50mg for about 8 weeks, 100mg for about 8 weeks and 150mg for around 4 weeks, they haven't made me feel particularly better, so do you think it's time for me to come off them now? I am due to see a psychiatrist on Dec 15th.... Many thanks .. Luke

You should be feeling something by now,  I am only on 50mg for about 3 weeks and feel so much better, little blips here and there but much better than before, I would make an appointment and talk to your doctor.  You may need to try a different medication since they are not one size fits all.

Luke I feel your pain.. although I have not been on sertraline for 20 weeks I also feel they have made things worse. I saw a psychologist who added amitriptyline to the mix a low dose to hekp me sleep. I've cut down the sertraline and feel loads better already. See what your psychologist says....but I guess it all go down to your symptoms. I'm anxious from a state apparently and now booked in to Start intense psychology treatment so hopefully this will help reduce meds even more

Dude my advice would be to stick at the 150mg for a couple more weeks. I genuinly didnt think they were going to work for me either but im definatly feeling an improvement now. Iv been at 150mg for around 2 months and only recently they started working i started on 25mg for one week 50mg for one week 100mg for 2 weeks and here i am now. I was suffering with very intense anxiety 24/7 since january!!
