20mg - Feeling a bit spaced out, in a bubble

Hi all.

I suffered a nervous breakdown / GAD a few months back and was prescribed citalopram.

i was on 10mg initially for 3 weeks and started to feel great after the first week, but then had a serious crash and got worse, then got advised to up to 20mg which i've been on for just over a week now.

i am starting to have a few more positive days again but my main worry is i always feel a bit spaced out / feel like things are a bit surreal when outside and find it hard to focus and make decisions, this is making me have a bit of agraphobia.

looking on these forums have been a great help and encouraged me to stick with it but i dont really see many people saying they experience the spaced out ness. Is this common and will it subside? At the moment i dont want to keep taking the pills if i'm always going to feel like this.

hey John. Im 2 years in in citalopram. These feelings will in time go away. You'll wake up one morning and feel much better. These meds work very sliwly and take some time to adjust. Hope this helps
