20mg to 10mg, suffering withdrawal after 5 days so going back to 20mg, how long to go back to normal

Hi,

I've been on Citalopram for about 8 years. I have had some ups and downs. Had been on 20mg for the last 2 years. Wanted to attempt to lower my dose to 10mg but now I am suffering quite badly after 5 days. Today I went back to 20mg and just wondering if anyone knows how long it would be for it to go back to normal? is it days or weeks?

Side note, I was on 30mg prior to the 2 years but somehow developed a thing where if I ate food like chicken/turkey it sent me into a mild serotonin syndrome due to being high in tryptophan. Anyone else had this?
