I feel for you so much, I started with back trouble when I was 16 and I've had just about all treatments including injections and surgery, along with loads of other crazy stuff!? I'm awaiting nerve root injections now, in an attempt to quash another surgery.

You're only young and from experience, your pain and current situation are making you think this is you and is this all you have to come! I know because I've been there and I've said it again and again.

I'm forty now and I have had issues throughout, but the key is to not be afraid to live your life, don't fear an injury that hasn't yet happened. Strengthen your core (when able) - look into gyrokinesis, it's great for us back problem people.

Bless you, it makes me sad to hear such a young person feeling this way, but at the same time, I've lived it and know what you mean.

You are your own person, live your life in full and please don't do as I did and always consider what might happen...........after all, it might not!

    Take care :0)

As you are a younger person, I am concerned about the use of surgery. Sometimes it is unavoidable, but if it's necessary then the surgeons should certainly be considering using Endoscopic methods in your case and, if they're not up to performing them themselves, referring you to someone who can do them in this less damaging, minimally invasive fashion. The problem with one back operation is that it does often

lead to another and the internal and external scar tissue that inevitably forms afterwards and at your age, this is obviously concerning.
