i am talking to you from the other side, i mean i have been there thought that and freaked out about it. My dad was diagnosed with MND when i was a kid, turned out he was faking it to get money from the government! What an ahole right! Dont worry, he got caught. Anyway, i can 100% tell you that you dont have ALS, that st is really rare! Now i know that youre not going to believe me, and i know that even if you had tests that came back negative youd still worry theyd missed something (told you ive been there) but the chances of you having it are so close to zero its not worth thinking about. Have you thought that actually you are worrying about having a young family and not being to provide for them. EVERYBODY worries about stuff like that. That was the biggest thing that helped cure my anxiety, realising that what you feel, everybody feels. All the worries you have, everybody worries about exactly the same things! You just arent equipped to deal with it. Neither was i, but i am now, and so can you. Also twitching of muscles is really common, especially when they are tired.

first thing Jordan is do not Google because it will not pertain to your individual situation. Swallowing issues are extremely common with stress and anxiety. Stop thinking about all those horrible illnesses. You are way too young for that. Think about things in your life that are causing you anxiety.

Also the muscle twitches are very common with anxiety and stress. I have had them on and off for over 20 years and I just ignore them but I get them when I’m really anxious. They are harmless and they are called Benign fasciculations. Athletes get them all the time with how they use their muscles. Completely harmless.

muscle weakness is also common with anxiety and stress. Remember that stress takes a huge toll on the body and it’s not a surprise that weakness is a symptom. I have also had that to the point I couldn’t get off the couch.

I want you to know that my symptoms started in my 20s very similar to yours and I am now in my 50s and I’m still here! So you can see that none of those symptoms were harmful.! You are going to be fine but I suggest you speak with a counselor to help you with stress management. The more you Google and focus on stress symptoms the more you will have them. Take charge of your life and get some help for this. You want to be strong and healthy for your family and you can do it! ❤

Jordan I know exactly what you’re talking about! Anxiety is the culprit with the negative and scary thoughts. When you realize that, they don’t have power over you. it took me a very long time to learn that and my life was very miserable because I let the thoughts to take me over. I wasted many years of my life in fear because of it.

So I want to tell you while you are young you can nip this in the bud. you may have anxiety pop up once in a while and even a few symptoms, but the negativity in the mind does not have to control you.

I basically don’t give those symptoms a second thought. I know that my testing has always been normal and I am healthy. That’s all I need to know.

When you get a scary thought, instead of thinking about it and worrying, immediately snap it out of your mind! You can say a word out loud or to yourself like "NO!" or " DELETE!" or any other word you like. Then you immediately go get busy, do something fun, think about something positive. Each and every time you get those thoughts do this! Eventually your brain will automatically do it, but you have to be very consistent.

One of the worst things we can do and is what I did for many years is sit and think and think and think and the what if thinking .

. The more we suggest to our brain that something may be wrong, the more symptoms we get. The brain will do whatever you tell it to do so that’s why it’s important to keep pumping in positive thoughts.

    hope this helps!
