24 Hours Post Marsupialization - Discussion

Hello fellow bartholin cyst sufferers. I had posted earlier this month that my cyst had become large and hard...well I had a consultation with a surgeon and just had a marsupialization yesterday afternoon. Now 24 hours post-op I figured I would share my experience/concerns/questions. Would love any feedback and discussion about your own personal experiences if you have had a marsupialization yourself.
First and foremost, I just want to say the doctor I saw was/is fantastic. 24 hours post surgery, I have hardly any pain....i would rate it a 2/10 and it is not constant. I am just taking prescription strength advil for the pain and it is working just fine for me. There is obviously some tenderness. Word of caution....if you decide to take a look down there...beware. It's not pretty, but my surgeon assures me that it heals nicely and should not have any lasting cosmetic issues.
Now, my cyst was about the size of a large egg when I had the surgery....unfortunately I can still feel a slight lump, in the same egg shape, still in there through my labia majora. I messaged my doctor through the my online portal to see if this is normal and if he thinks this is something that will go away in time. It has me worried that since I can still feel it now after drainage, that it's likely for cysts to recur after healing. Side note - i've essentially had constant non-infected cysts for 9 years - they have only abscessed three times. When they have drained on their own, it is fully clear liquid. So anyways, being able to feel the lump in there just has me nervous it's going to recur all over again once it heals.
Has anyone had a similar experience of being able to kind of feel a lump where the cyst used to be? I wonder if its like a sac in there from where the cyst has been for so long?
I have a follow up in 2 weeks....if anyone is interested I would be more than happy to document progress and outcomes. I am currently taking a few sitz baths a day, blow drying my bits after those and urination to keep the area nice and clean and dry. But other than that, letting it do its thing....
