Hello,
Ive seen a similar thread on here, but its from 6 years ago and a lot can change medically in six years!
I’m fairly young (25) and have recently been diagnosed as having a complex ovarian cyst measuring 23cm by 20cm! It is huge and on my ct scan could see that it is compressing the rest of my organs leaving me in discomfort.
I’ll be having the surgery to remove the cyst, at least one of my ovaries, a Fallopian tube and my appendix. This obviously has implications for my future fertility but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.
Has anyone else (especially anyone a similar age) had a cyst around this size who has been through the surgery? I have a few questions and I’m worried about the amount of time I will need to take to recover, so what sort of timeframe were people able to get back to being able to do normal things and is there a possible way to preserve my fertility before the surgery in case both ovaries need to be removed? (Which looks likely)
Thanks!
