3 cm neck lymph node, extreme fatigue, weakness... Anyone else?

Around 2 months ago, i noticed I had a lump in my throat. It came and went, so i thought it was nothing. Well lately it started becoming more noticeable when I would swallow or talk, so i called my doc. He didn't feel anything except "maybe an enlarged thyroid." So i went in for an ultrasound. One of my lymph nodes mext to my thyroid is 3 cm! All routine blood tests were normal, nothing was elevated. I've been suffering from fatigue all month and it's only getting worse. As of a couple days ago, i have no appetite and just feel sick. Addmittedly I think I caught a cold on too of everything else.

Anyone else had this? What did it wind up being? I have a fine needle aspiration on Monday and I'm going crazy in the meantime.

    I've been experiencing some lymph node issues in my head/neck for about 6 months. Mine are all small, like 1 cm area, but I have about 6 swollen at the moment. I just got an ultra sound done and I'm waiting for the results, but blood work came back all normal. I saw my reg Dr, an ENT and an oncologist now just to get a good amount of opinions lol. They actually all agree it could be skin related for me. I have acne and also some dermatitis/dandruff on my scalp and they think that's whats causing the swellings. It sounds so strange to me but apparently lymph nodes can swell for a number of reasons and it doesn't always mean it's something scary and bad. If you feel like you have a cold coming on that could be reason for your swollen lymph node and for your fatigue. I wouldn't worry too much at the moment, worrying will just make you feel even worse physically. See what happens with the needle aspiration and then go from there. But from what I've learned they can be very sensitive and swell from the slightest thing so don't just assume it's something bad so early!

      If you don't mind me asking, but what did the results come back normal from the ultra sound?

    Hi ally, my lymph nodes are 3.8cm. i have a CT with contrast scheduled for thursday.

    im wondering how your fine needle aspiration turned out.
