Is get better. If you take your medication in the morning try switching it to night. If your taking it at night then switch to morning. What does are you on.

I would try to take it at night and see what that does. After you take it in the morning is there certain time during the day that u get sleepy? I been on 40mg for 5 weeks 6 days, and most of my side efffects have left, I still have anxiety periods which I guess is still normal, I don't have any trouble sleeping no more but I do seem to get up early now compared to my normal sleeping before the meds. You won't die from a lack of sleep, u may just start to feel drained and more sleepy during the day. I was the same and I am still here. Anxiety is the worst feeling and it's amazing what our brains can think of to get us all up tight and into panic mode. The first two weeks Will be a roller coaster ride and then it all calms down, from experience and from what people have said anxiety is the last to go. I used to wake up with anxiety now it has shifted to afternoon anxiety. So it does get better and easier to manage.

I've not been tired or sleepy! That's the problem, I usually fall asleep at 11 at night and wake up 2 hours after that, then just keep waking up, it's horrible!

I totally understand what u are saying, this side effects will pass. U could try taking some melatonin. U could also go back to the doctors and ask for a sleeping aid till your side efffects go away and use it on days u really need it. When I first started taking it I started at 10 mg and the first few weeks I was really wired almost like I was on speed or something, and my sleep was not well at all, then shortly after that my sleep got better and I even wanted an afternoon nap. Now I got to bed around 10 11 and I wake up between 530-7 which for me is way to early lol before the meds I would sleep till like 8 and wouldn't wanna get out of bed. So slowly it does get better trust me we have all been in your shoes and it's super scary.

Things will improve , my first two weeks on cit were the worst of my life & I couldn't imagine going through it again. I had no idea things could have been so bad.

Try to stick with it I'm so glad I did I feel great now but things get worse before they get better .

I tried to go back on Celexa. I have been on it for five years with no problems. It was my saving grace the last time. I got weaned off of it during my pregnancy and was fine for two years and then everything came back. I tried to go back on 10 mg of Celexa and lasted two days. I got extreme Burning sensation under my skin and my arms and face of a come in waves just like these really intense burning rashes of heat. I paste around the house I couldn't sit still I did wake up from my sleep in complete panic and jump out of bed and lay back down and then up and down and my thoughts are racing horribly and I just thought if I take another pill I'll be in the psych ward. I quit after two days and now I'm trying Prozac and it's been seven weeks I don't feel like it's doing much .I can't understand why select it was so bad to me this time when I did so well on it before I don't even remember having side effects with it before but I was transitioned from another mad when I took it the last time this time I took it I wasn't on anything

It will be ok i promise even though everyone is different you have to give it time. If you can not get into the doctors call and tell them your having med issues i just had to do that 2 days ago and they got me right in. Inwas going to have to wait a month to see my doc and wasnt havent it because i knew my meds needed an increase. I hope you start feeling better soon. I take my medicine at night but always have. I noticed i had trouble falling asleep a few weeks into the medicine but eventually that subsided. Good luck !!

I also take xanax 2x daily at .5 mg which would help calm my over thinking. I just layed awake for a couple hrs after taking the medicine an would eventually fall asleep. The medicine peeks at 4 hrs which is at its highest. What time do you take your medicine ?

Don't quit the pills, fight through it. Soon you will be sleeping for 6-7 hours a night. I was the same as you but I stuck it out. I use to sleep 4-5 hours a night. But now I'm 7+ hours and I'm able to take naps now. Don't give up!
