e in my home diagnosed with autoimmune disorders in the past few months. In November, I was diagnosed with connective tissue disease. In February, my 18 year old was diagnosed with an autoimmune thyroid condition. Now my 19 year old is being g worked up for lupus. We all have been feeling pretty crappy this past year. Because of the short time frame this all occurred, I am wondering about environmental factors. We have only been living in our current home for a few years. Are there things we should look into such as water (we have a well) that might be triggering these conditions?

Yes...mold can be hidden. An old leak from years ago. Even behind refrigerator or dishwasher.
My friends have a well and they had to get a whole house filtration system.
For me I got severe food poisoning and my health was compromised. I got food poisoning again and lost a lot of weight and that was the 1980's.
Once you're exposed to toxins then you have to be careful. I now have autoimmune disease and I'm very careful to make sure not to overwhelm my immune system. Even my food and drink are extremely limited. Eating can take a lot out of me trying to get through my system.
What I'm trying to say is that an episode of exposure to toxin or bacteria can cause numerous problems. Do research to see if there is a connection between your family members' symptoms which can manifest differently. My sister got food poisoning with me but her symptoms are like lupus.
Get tested for one thing at a time and be patient because the medical community is slow. Or pay cash like I did but be prepared to spend much more.
My doctor had me take a bath with 1 oz of iodine to cover my whole body and eyes and nose for getting rid of as much bacteria as possible and everyone in the family did too.
